To create the first event of its kind for a Google and YouTube collaboration in EMEA within broadcasting.

We were tasked with creating an environment where the critical topics at the intersection of TV and technology can be debated in a way that is perceived by guests as “can’t miss” for future events.

  • Build an immersive environment that facilitates conversation and interaction.

  • Focus on simplicity in design and output whilst reflecting the audience level.

  • Design a full event identity and concept and take it through to delivery.



  • The Unicorn Studio created and developed an event identity for both Google & YouTube to be used across the event. The intention was to incorporate the brand’s colours into the design whilst also looking for a design that represented the ‘Broadcasting’ theme of the event. 

  • The event took place in a palace on the outskirts of Madrid. This offered a perfect setting for the conference, away from the hustle of the city.

  • The venue offered a beautiful backdrop, representative of the event destination, transporting guests to a rural Spanish setting.

  • This event identity was then used across all event collateral and print application, from menus to agendas and name badges.

  • We managed the logistics for all guests throughout the event.

  • We managed all content creation, in line with the event design, including speaker briefing, rehearsals and slide creation.

  • We created a full set and stage production, designed to be in-keeping with the beautiful venue and location of the event. 

  • A networking evening, dinner and drinks took place on the first night of the conference to welcome guests. This was held at Ana La Santa, a trendy restaurant destination in Madrid, popular for larger crowds serving modern, local cuisine.

  • We were able to create a seamless experience for guests between the Google content and YouTube content all coming together for this one event.

  • This was achieved through subtle branding differentiation from day 1 to day 2 in-keeping with each brand, which made guests feel like they were still at the same event but it was really clear that the second day was YouTube focused.

  • We created an environment for guests to be able to access information from both Google & YouTube in a relaxed way, creating space in the content for networking and Q&A. 

  • Encouraging networking and brand exploration through the content and speakers.

  • When asked in the post-event survey, all guests said that they would attend a similar event again.
