HeadBox are experts when it comes to creative spaces

We uncover lots of brilliant Spaces each week and we’ll be taking you through our top picks each month, for the next three months starting with the best new venues in London. We hope you enjoy our hand picked selection of quirky London venues for February!

Shoreditch - Sky Terrace, Courthouse Hotel, Shoreditch

Sitting atop the old magistrates building on Old Street is The Shoreditch Sky Terrace. This fantastic London venue is the Courthouse Hotel’s latest offering and it does not disappoint. With stunning views of the City, candlelit tables and hanging seats, the rooftop is strangely serene: a pocket of calm above the hubbub of London life. When the mood is right, this Space transforms into a stylish party venue, with some of the world’s best DJs having graced its decks. With every turn of a corner at the Courthouse Hotel you can discover some of its rich past: like how it was built on top of an ancient Roman site; or how the jail-turned-bar housed the Kray Twins. We do love a Space with a story.

Covent Garden - Inamo, Covent Garden

If you’re looking for a private dining experience with a flavour of fun, Inamo Covent Garden is the Space for you. Voted TimeOut’s 2010 Restaurant of the Year (as voted by TimeOut readers), Inamo combines Asian fusion with a unique immersive private dining experience through interactive table tops. You can be in complete control: placing orders from illustrated menus; changing the ambience via the table background; viewing the live ‘Chef Cam’ and playing games such as pong and memory - all straight from your table-top. Entertain your guests with delicious cuisine and this utterly unique experience at this not-to-miss venue to hire in London.

Battersea - London Cooking Project, Battersea

We love the London Cooking Project. This gorgeous open plan kitchen/dining space is based in an old ice factory in Battersea. It can be hired out for a range of events and all profits go back into funding food-based community and charity projects. A fantastic Space and a worthy social mission make this venue a great choice.

Hackney - East Side Loft, Hackney

A former printworks, nightclub and martial arts gym, we love the expertly renovated East Side Loft. With its cavernous ceilings, towering windows and exposed wall, this shabby chic space is flooded with bright light, giving it a light and airy feel. The Space lends itself to virtually any event: its sheer size allows for lighting rigging and towers for filming and all the furniture is movable allowing total flexibility.

Shoreditch - Behind the Bike Shed, Shoreditch

Tucked away Behind the Bike Shed are Arches 3 & 4: two ideal ‘blank-canvas’ London events venues. Sometimes you need a bare Space that will allow you to put your own unique stamp on your event, and with the Arches, you will have complete control. These beautifully redeveloped railway arches have trendy bare brick walls, underfloor heating and the option to rig lighting from the ceiling.
